I am a 28 year old Mechanical Engineer working in New York City. I work for an international consulting engineering firm involved in projects all over the world with some of the most prestigious architects around. I have been investing for 3 years and have been using stock options for the last year. 2008 was an excellent year for me in the market, but I got over confident and have struggled in 2009. My problems investing as of late have encouraged me to become more disciplined, and part of this involved more structure which I chose to channel through this blog.
I started this blog for two reasons. The first was I wanted to have the ability to track my learning of investing through the use of options, and the other reason was that I wanted others who are like me just really starting out trying to understand various options strategies. I wanted these people to have a place to go where they didn’t have to subscribe to a pay service and could follow me as I learn along side them. Hopefully I will be able to build a small community of young investors who can share there experiences of investing with options. I also encourage more experienced investors to share there knowledge with us.
